Internships

So, I pretty much rock, and it's okay that I acknowledge this because it's good to have good self-esteem.

And I am not the only one who thinks I rock.  I was talking with Professor Kneebone about internships, when my former professor, Professor Smith, came in.  I jokingly was like, "A recommendation would be nice."  And then he actually replied that I would be suited for any internship and he actually brought up one of my papers and how it showed my love for archival/museum work...it was just so specific that I was floored because I wouldn't have thought the he remembered.  And he even mentioned that I would be good in law...which I have been thinking about, since I would be a pretty sweet prosecutor.  And, of my dream jobs, the majority of them are in the criminal justice stysem:

Forensic Anthropologist, Prosecutor, FBI Profiler, Archaeologist (Prehistoric or Historical), or Professor.

I am such an approval seeker that this has just made my month.  And Professor Kneebone also seemed impressed by me (first meeting and all) and is sending my application straight to the archivist at the Department of Historic Resources.  So, yay for me being on my way to a job pertinent to my major (I could work at the SPCA my whole life, but I could also make a living wage and then volunteer there).

Grim is missing.

Here's my Craigslist posting.  If you still live in the Glen Allen area, be on the lookout.

I am going to see Drake Bell at the state fair...could I be any more excited?

Why didn't Salieri just do Mozart and get it over with rather than trying to drive him crazy and kill him?

Because seriously, this movie is just okay, but would have been a lot better with some composer-on-composer action.

I'm actually a little bored by it, and I thought that getting my old journals out would be a great idea.  Now, reliving all of those high school years has made me want to vomit.  So, my advice:  burn your past or get depressed when you inevitably relive all of that pain and stupidity.  But I can't bring myself to look away.  It's sick.

I should try to do some schoolwork, instead.

Some people shouldn't be in classes on religious topics if they cannot remain subjective.  There are plenty of religious people who can understand that their personal beliefs are not relevant to the topic, nor are others trying to insult that religion--just to look at it from a scholarly perspective.  But it's hard to take a class on Christianity...people have their own Bibles and have memorized many scriptures.

Yep.  Quit chiming in.  Also, raise your effing hand--you are not the only person in the class and you are not respecting the order of things.  Please quit muttering in a loud enough manner that I cannot necessarily hear what my classmates and professor are saying.  That's more pointed, but it lists mannerisms shown by a few people.  And the girl who sits next to me needs to stop talking about what she missed when she was a few minutes late so that I miss what is currently being said.
